FieldBench

FieldBench vs Housecall Pro

Housecall Pro is built for home service. FieldBench is built for shops that do bench work and field work in the same day, and it is priced flat instead of by the seat.

Why shops look for a Housecall Pro alternative

You run a bench, not just a truck

Home service software assumes every job happens at a customer address. FieldBench tracks drop-offs, mail-ins, and remote sessions next to on-site calls, on one board, because a repair shop does all four.

You are hiring and the bill keeps climbing

If your software charges per user, every hire raises your software bill. FieldBench is flat with unlimited employees, so the tenth tech costs the same as the first.

You want your own payment accounts

Connect your own Stripe and Square. Card, tap to pay, or a link over text. The money lands in your account and FieldBench takes no cut of it.

What you get

  • Jobs for bench, field, mail-in, and remote, on one board
  • Scheduling, dispatch, and a live map of the day
  • Estimates that turn into invoices without retyping
  • Card payments through your own Stripe or Square account
  • Automatic customer status updates, so the “is it ready” calls stop
  • Barcode parts inventory with low-stock warnings
  • Two-way QuickBooks Online sync
  • A booking page, a live status page, and online invoice payment for your customers

What it costs

One flat price per shop with unlimited employees. Charging a shop per person to run its own business is a tax on hiring, so we do not do it.

Standard
$99/mo
Everything to run one shop.
Pro
$149/mo
A head start as you grow.
Premier
$249/mo
Early access and white-glove.

Yearly and two-year terms cost less. Every tier includes unlimited employees.

Moving your data over

Your data comes across from Housecall Pro's own CSV exports: customers, jobs, estimates, and invoices. Customers match on phone or email, so nothing duplicates and your existing records always win. Jobs keep their Housecall Pro number, which is how imported invoices reattach to the job they came off. Run the whole thing twice by mistake and it creates nothing the second time.

One honest limit: Housecall Pro's list exports carry a single total per record and no line items, so imported jobs and invoices arrive with that amount preserved and labeled as an import. We do not invent an itemization that the export never contained.

Stuck on an export? Send it to will@daytonacomputerrepair.com and we will map it for you.
